Keisha of the Future

In a park on the south side, three teenagers rise into the night air inside a globe of golden light — and the white police officer who fires on them dies where he stands, his own bullet resting in his skull without a wound. Tre, seventeen and suddenly knowing things nobody taught him, disappears into a white government van. Lissa, pregnant and hunting Atlanta for her missing husband, sees it all from the patrol car — in a city where time has stopped making sense.
