Vibe Is Meta 4: Keisha of the Future — Announcement

Independent publisher Black Utopia Press announces the forthcoming release of a bold new work, Vibe Is Meta 4: Keisha of the Future. This is the first book in a four-part Afrofuturist short-story series, set in a near future where scientists classify the gravitational waves hitting Earth as a planet-changing event. At the same time, a mysterious virus strikes the African-American community, making it impossible for Black people to recognize white faces. Amid this transformation, Black joy emerges as a visible, blinding, luminous, and unstoppable cosmic force that spirals white reality into chaos.
Keisha Turner sees the otherworldly strangeness everyone is talking about. The shimmers of Black joy pulsing in the streets give Black people the ability to levitate. Keisha receives a cryptic warning to find protection — a call that thrusts her into a dangerous journey to uncover the hidden truth connecting the face virus to levitation, Meta 4 to the perpetual state of Black joy, and the violent plot to end it all.
Reedus’ book debut leads readers into a mind-bending world of short stories where metaphysics meets racial memory — blending Afrofuturism and dystopian allegory with existential consequences when attention shifts and quantum Black consciousness emerges.
Vibe Is Meta 4 launches in the fall of 2026 in print and digital editions, with an audiobook adaptation and companion multimedia projects in development.

DESI Collaboration Reports Anomalous Gravitational Wave Signal from Distant Planetary System
Researchers working with the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) announced the detection of highly unusual gravitational wave patterns originating from a distant planetary system — designated Meta 4 — and are classifying the anomaly as a potentially earth-changing event. Current assessments indicate no immediate threat to Earth. The detected waves are extremely weak by the time they reach our planet. However, scientists are studying whether they could have secondary effects on sensitive instruments, animal navigation, and, under rare conditions, human perception and consciousness.
Public Guidance
Out of an abundance of caution, researchers recommend that members of the public remain calm but report any unusual or unexplained phenomena — such as persistent low-frequency vibrations, unexplained electronic interference, anomalous environmental effects in the sky, or feelings of weightlessness — to local authorities.
CDC Advisory: The Stench

CDC Provides Health Advisory and Guidance on Reported Sensory Phenomenon
ATLANTA, GA — November 1, 2026 — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a health advisory to address growing public concern and media reports regarding a reported sensory phenomenon colloquially referred to as “The Stench.”
Over the past several weeks, the CDC and its state and local health partners have monitored an increase in reports from individuals across the nation experiencing a persistent, foul body odor that is resistant to normal hygienic practices. After extensive preliminary investigation and analysis of reported cases, the CDC has determined that the phenomenon appears to be linked to a severe, acute psychophysiological response to heightened anxiety and stress.
“While the symptoms are distressing and very real to those experiencing them, our findings currently point to a complex mind-body connection,” said Dr. Evelyn Reed, Director of the CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health. “Intense, prolonged psychological distress can trigger the body’s eccrine glands to secrete a sweat with a markedly different chemical composition. When this interacts with the naturally occurring bacteria on the skin, it can result in a potent, persistent odor that is perceived as foul.”
The CDC emphasizes that this is not a contagious disease or infectious agent. The phenomenon appears to be an individual physiological reaction and is not transmissible from person to person. The agency has not identified any infectious pathogen, environmental toxin, or chemical exposure that would explain the reported symptoms.
The CDC recommends the following for individuals experiencing these symptoms or who are feeling heightened anxiety: practice stress reduction (mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing, regular physical activity); seek support from a healthcare provider, mental health professional, or trusted community leader; limit media exposure; and maintain community — social support is a powerful buffer against stress.
“The most important message right now is one of reassurance and community,” Dr. Reed added. “This is a challenging time, but by supporting one another and focusing on our mental and emotional well-being, we can navigate this together.”
National Juneteenth Celebration Month

President Antoine Jackson Declares June as National Juneteenth Celebration Month
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Near Future — In a historic move to honor and expand upon the nation’s newest federal holiday, President Antoine Jackson — affectionately known by millions as President Twoine — today signed a presidential proclamation declaring the entire month of June as National Juneteenth Celebration Month. The proclamation elevates the annual commemoration of June 19th into a month-long reflection on the end of chattel slavery in the United States and a celebration of Black history, culture, and contributions.
“Juneteenth is more than a date on a calendar; it is a cornerstone of the American story — a story of struggle, resilience, and the unyielding pursuit of freedom,” said President Jackson from the Michelle Obama Garden. “By dedicating the entire month of June to this sacred observance, we invite every American to not only remember the moment freedom finally reached Galveston, Texas, but to celebrate the vibrant, enduring spirit of a people who have shaped the soul of this nation.”
The proclamation encourages states, local governments, schools, and community organizations to host educational programs, cultural festivals, and artistic events throughout June, and calls upon all Americans to use the month for learning, reflection, and deeper engagement with the complex and profound history of the United States.
President Twoine specifically addressed the upcoming celebration in Atlanta, Georgia, projected to draw over one million attendees. “I want to extend the warmest of welcomes to the estimated one million souls who will converge on Atlanta for this momentous celebration,” President Jackson stated. “Atlanta has long been a beacon of Black culture, innovation, and Black joy. This June, it will be the heart of our national celebration.”
Citing credible intelligence regarding potential threats, the President confirmed he will celebrate from the White House this year, with his Secret Service detail coordinating with federal, state, and local partners on security for all Atlanta festivities. The White House announced a national Juneteenth concert on the Baynard Rustin South Lawn on June 19th, broadcast live across the country.
